Our House — Est. 2015
Built in Kabul. Built to last.
A diversified investment and holding group founded on a single conviction — that disciplined capital, deployed patiently into real assets and real businesses, builds the most enduring value of all.
Who we are
A Kabul house, building enduring businesses.
Qamar Capital Group was founded in 2015 in the heart of Wazir Akbar Khan, Kabul. From day one, our purpose has been singular: to build, operate and steward businesses across the sectors that shape Afghanistan's future — and to do so with the discipline of an institution and the patience of an owner.
We are partner-led, privately held, and unencumbered by external shareholders or quarterly pressure. Our balance sheet is real, our convictions are our own, and our reputation is the only ledger that truly matters.
Across a decade of stewardship and multiple cycles, we have invested through dislocation, transition and recovery — and emerged each time with the same partners, the same principles and a stronger group. That continuity, in our view, is the only true measure of an investment house.
Today, Qamar Capital Group operates across real estate, construction, trade and agriculture, telecommunications, services and strategic investments — from our headquarters in Kabul. We remain, by design, small enough to be deliberate and large enough to lead.
The Architecture
Vision, mission and the framework that holds us to them.
Vision
To be the most trusted investment and holding group in Afghanistan — building enduring businesses across real estate, construction and the sectors that shape the country's future.
Mission
Build, operate and steward businesses with discipline, discretion and conviction — and partner with the founders, institutions and communities who share our horizons.
Mandate
Operate as a permanent capital platform across real estate, construction, trade, telecommunications, services and strategic investments — with no external pressure to deploy or exit.
Governance
Senior-led Investment Committee, independent Risk Committee, and an annual external audit that reflect our institutional commitments to our partners.
Our Values
Four principles. Held without compromise.
Every hire, every commitment and every partnership is tested against these four ideas. They are not posters on a wall — they are the operating system of the firm.
Conviction
We invest only when we understand. We pass on more than we pursue. Every commitment carries the partners' personal endorsement and, often, their personal capital.
Patience
We measure horizons in decades, not quarters. Compounding rewards stillness — and most of our positions are held for five years or longer.
Discretion
Our work is private by design. Reputations are built quietly. We do not chase headlines, league tables or vanity metrics.
Alignment
Our own capital sits beside our partners' in every transaction. We win or lose together — and that single fact dictates how we underwrite, structure and steward.
Our Journey
A decade. One direction.
A chronicle of the moments that shaped Qamar Capital Group — and the convictions that have remained unchanged through every one of them.

Regulation & Standards
Institutionally governed. Independently audited.
Qamar Capital Group operates under the supervisory frameworks of Afghanistan and applies the governance standards expected of an institutional investment and holding group — including an independent audit committee, annual external audit, AML and KYC programmes aligned with FATF recommendations, and a documented conflicts-of-interest policy reviewed annually by the board.
Across our work we engage qualified custodians, law firms and accounting partners — including counsel in Kabul and the jurisdictions in which we operate — to ensure every transaction reflects the same standards of diligence and documentation, regardless of geography.
