Our House — Est. 2015
Built in Doha. Built to last.
A private investment house founded on a single conviction — that disciplined capital, deployed patiently, builds the most enduring value of all.
Who we are
A Doha house, with a global lens.
Qamar Capital Group was founded in 2015 in the heart of West Bay, Doha — as the Gulf entered a defining decade of diversification and capital formation. From day one, our purpose has been singular: to compound capital with conviction, on behalf of the families and institutions who entrust us with theirs.
We are partner-led, privately held, and unencumbered by external shareholders or quarterly pressure. Our balance sheet is real, our convictions are our own, and our reputation is the only ledger that truly matters.
Across a decade of stewardship and multiple cycles, we have invested through oil-price dislocations, regional geopolitical shifts and a pandemic — and emerged each time with the same partners, the same principles and a stronger balance sheet. That continuity, in our view, is the only true measure of an investment house.
Today, Qamar Capital Group stewards capital across four asset classes and a focused set of active markets, from a senior team of investment professionals based in Doha, Dubai, Muscat and Kabul. We remain, by design, small enough to be deliberate and large enough to lead.
The Architecture
Vision, mission and the framework that holds us to them.
Vision
To be the most trusted private investment house in the Gulf — a steward of capital across generations, anchored in Doha and respected globally.
Mission
Compound the capital entrusted to us with discipline, discretion and conviction — and partner with the families, founders and institutions who share our horizons.
Mandate
Operate as a permanent capital platform across private equity, real assets, global markets and wealth stewardship — with no external pressure to deploy or exit.
Governance
Senior-partner-led Investment Committee, independent Risk Committee, and an annual external audit that reflect our institutional commitments to our partners.
Our Values
Four principles. Held without compromise.
Every hire, every commitment and every partnership is tested against these four ideas. They are not posters on a wall — they are the operating system of the firm.
Conviction
We invest only when we understand. We pass on more than we pursue. Every commitment carries the partners' personal endorsement and, often, their personal capital.
Patience
We measure horizons in decades, not quarters. Compounding rewards stillness — and most of our positions are held for five years or longer.
Discretion
Our work is private by design. Reputations are built quietly. We do not chase headlines, league tables or vanity metrics.
Alignment
Our own capital sits beside our partners' in every transaction. We win or lose together — and that single fact dictates how we underwrite, structure and steward.
Our Journey
A decade. One direction.
A chronicle of the moments that shaped Qamar Capital Group — and the convictions that have remained unchanged through every one of them.

Regulation & Standards
Institutionally governed. Independently audited.
Qamar Capital Group operates under the supervisory frameworks of its home jurisdiction in the State of Qatar and applies the governance standards expected of an institutional investment house — including an independent audit committee, annual external audit, AML and KYC programs aligned with FATF recommendations, and a documented conflicts-of-interest policy reviewed annually by the board.
Across our international activity, we engage tier-one custodians, law firms and accounting partners — including counsel in Doha, Dubai, Muscat, Kabul and the major financial centres in which we operate — to ensure every transaction reflects the same standards of diligence and documentation, regardless of geography.
